Blender animations

Here are miscellanous animations modelled and rendered in various versions of Blender. Quicktime 5 or better is needed to view the animations.
 Media files
Blurry reflection (2008)

Some softbodies colliding and having fun whilst trying out the new blurry reflection settings in RC 2.46

File format: Quicktime
Chromy kicky girl (2007)

A short IK animation, with the added benefit of involving a roboty girlish sort of person. Not half bad, actually. MP4 video

File format: Quicktime
Palaver Flag (2007)

A simple softbody animation of a Palaver flag as the wind picks up strength. MP4 format, about 1,5 MB.

File format: Quicktime
Falling Suzanne (2007)

Simply the monkey Suzanne and some primitives falling to the ground. Nowadays it's pretty easy to use a dynamic simulation from the game engine and convert all motion to "normal" animation and thus render it with, say, ambient occlusion.

File format: Misc
Invisible superman (2006)

The invisible man trying out his new mantle by jumping up and down, attempting a superhero look. IK for the body, softbody for the mantle. MP4 format.

File format: Video
Invisible jumper (2006)

An invisible man takes a walk and then decides to jump. Thought I'd brush up on my character animation "skills".

File format: Video
Water inflow (2006)

Sigh, yet another fluid simulation, this one using an "inflow" filling up an invisible container. Looks kinda neat, methinks. Sept, 2006. MP4 format, 3 Mb.

File format: Video
Fluid Palaver (2006)

Yet another fluid simulation, this one involving green liquid flowing around an invisible logo. Fun for the whole family!

File format: Quicktime
Fluid and Cups (2006)

A slightly more complex test of the fluid simulation tools. For what's cool, honour the programmers, for what could be better, blame my laziness!

File format: Quicktime
Fluid Sim (2006)

Another test drive of a function, in this case the fluid simulation tools, available as of v 2.40. MP4 format.

File format: Quicktime
Softblob (2005)

A test of Blender's softbody functions (as of v2.37), and particle deflection resulting in a jelly blob anim.

File format: Quicktime
IK ball (2005)

A test drive of Blender's new IK functions. Just a ball trying out his legs...

File format: Quicktime
Spotlight effect (2004)

You know, that effect where the light, like, sorta, bursts out behind the text.

File format: Quicktime
Water refraction (2004)

Ray-tracing. This couldn't be done without it. Small, loss, perhaps...

File format: Quicktime
Robot Workshop (2003)

IK animation of busy robots at Christmas time. Part of a longer work.

File format: Quicktime
MetaBlood (2002)

Some bloodlike, metaball-created substance defying gravity.

File format: Quicktime
Whirlwind (2002)

A particle emitter duplicating leafs which are sent through a "lattice". I really like this one.

File format: Quicktime
Smoking Neon (2002)

Writing text with particles.

File format: Quicktime
Flying mossy stone (2002)

According to some, this is my best animation. Not quite sure how I should take that... :-)

File format: Quicktime
Some sort of Saturn (2002)

A brief visit to a rather unwelcoming planet.

File format: Quicktime
Alarm Clock (2001)

A cartoonish clock. With sound!

File format: Quicktime
Wired computer (2001)

Rendered half as solid, half as wire.

File format: Quicktime
Scifi room (2001)

Some sort of spaceport waiting room, I suppose.

File format: Quicktime
Fruitbowl (2001)

Animated still life. Rather like this one...

File format: Quicktime
Rolling... something (2001)

I don't know what this is...

File format: Quicktime
Rolling paper (2001)

Using lattices to create a simple "printing press" effect by bending paper along rolls.

File format: Quicktime
Particle-A (2000)

Some object duplication with the help of particles. Rather neat effect.

File format: Quicktime
