Weaseling out of things is important to learn. It's what separates us from the animals ... except the weasel.

Still images

Some still images modelled and rendered in Blender. Don't expect masterpieces, merely some examples of what the rendering engine has produced on my computer(s).

A cliff wall (2007)

This is the sort of scenery I've always balked at trying to build. Until now. I think this might be the path just outside the mouth of Shelobs cave.

Another room (2007)

Rendered two versions of this one, one with lots of ambient occlusion the other with sunlight falling in through the window, and combined them. Cheating, in other words. Looks nice, though...

Pitcher & cups (2006)

I'm too lazy to model complex objects, it seems. Instead, I let the rendering engine do most of the work, turning on raytracing and ye olde amb. occl.

Winter window (2005)

Yet another ambient occlusion pic. I wonder what's hidden beneath the snow. Really, I don't know.

The Fruitbowl (2005)

The fruitbowl, now with ambient occlusion and raytracing.

Ambient (2005)

Primitives and a simple curve object, rendered with Ambient Occlusion (gotta love a term like that) enabled in the World settings.

Portal house

Vaguely inspired by Mejis in Dark Tower 4. As to exactly how it's inspired by that town, I can't really say. It just makes me think of the book.

An easy chair (2002)

Looks fairly comfy!

Blender Desktop

Made for a 3D contest, where the aim was to create a desktop background image with a Blender theme. Unsurprisingly, I didn't win, but here it is. Modelled in Blender, additional compositing done in the GIMP

Particle Marbles (2005)

With built-in raytracing comes the responsibility to render hundreds of glass marbles floating in a glass bowl.

Another chair (2002)

This chair bears some resemblance to my IKEA reading chair at home.

Fruitbowl (2001)

A "still life" sort of pic, made when trying the vertex paint tools.
